Jaguar is planning the first major update for its jaguar xf 2015 flagship sedan since the car was launched four years ago. Prototypes of the updated jaguar xf 2015 have been spotted near Jaguar’s headquarters in the U.K. and reveal some of the changes we can expecct on the updated car.
Being a mid-cycle update, the changes will consist of only a few tweaks to the styling and perhaps some extra gear inside. Unfortunately, Jaguar will have to wait until the next generation of the jaguar xf 2015 to alleviate the current car’s only real downside, a major lack of room in the rear.
The spy shots don’t reveal much in this early stage of testing. The front bumper is new and features intakes with a different shape to those on the current jaguar xf 2015. The grille is also slightly smaller and not as deep.
The styling of the bumpers also appears to have adopted a softer and more rounded look. Similar tweaks are expected at the rear, along with a set of revised tail-lights.
Given the jaguar xf 2015 recent drivetrain updates, few changes are expected under the hood. The range-topper will remain the 550-horsepower XJR, while at the other end of the spectrum the base model will continue with its 340-horsepower V-6. All-wheel drive will also continue to be an option.
Look for the updated jaguar xf 2015 to hit showrooms next fall, as a 2015 model. The car’s introduction will spearhead the arrival of several all-new Jaguars in the next 12 to 24 months including a small sedan, a crossover based on the C-X17 concept and the next-generation jaguar xf 2015.
